One of the best writers I've known; Digira's interpretation of my piece which I thought is really amazing.
The mountain hermits spent centuries building her, according to the great plans of Venus. The great machines of the old days were lost, but the plans remained timeless, and they worked hard, across lifetimes, to bring the dream of Her to fruition once more.
Every piece of her made by hand, by families versed and taught in the art, now only a handful capable of reading the ancient plans, performing the ancient rites, and bringing the great memory core to center into her steel-frame cranium. It was this that would be the basis for the return of the Venus. It was this, the minds of the others built across the millennia that passed before which would be added to hers, and thus her experiences would also again return to the Great Core when she had passed.
And so the cycle of worship would continue, with whispers of her return spoken amongst her followers like a prayer, while they gathered metals and melted down their golden jewelry to adorn the whorls of her exalted face.
Thereafter she would be taken to the sacred room where she would remain immersed within that birthing chamber for twenty years. Until finally, as foretold, the door to the chamber opened, and she walked out into the open to meet the people that had labored lifetimes to build her.
And seeing her in metallic splendor, greater than they could ever have imagined, they cried out to her, for it had all been as had been promised, and all would be made right, for the Venus had returned to lead her people.
